About
Leilani Rants is a designer and developer with a foundation in graphic design and visual communication, currently expanding her practice into software engineering to bridge design and development. Through formal training in full-stack development, she builds user-focused interfaces that integrate strong visual design principles with technical implementation.
She brings over four years of experience creating brand identities, digital assets, and web experiences for fast-growing B2C small and medium-sized businesses. Her work focuses on developing engaging, intuitive digital products that strengthen brand presence and support user engagement across industries including arts, entertainment, real estate, and humanities.
Leilani is particularly interested in UX and product-focused roles where design, usability, and engineering intersect. She works best in fast-paced, collaborative environments and approaches problem-solving through structured, iterative processes.
A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Leilani is a second-generation Filipino American from Virginia Beach. In addition to her design work, she is a two-dimensional artist whose work has been exhibited at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and the Branch Museum of Architecture and Design. Her creative practice often explores themes of biracial and cross-cultural identity, and her writing has been published in both print and online anthologies, including the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
